Microsoft Teams Integration
FairUp integrates with Microsoft Teams to provide seamless virtual and hybrid event experiences.
What the integration does
When you create a virtual or hybrid event, FairUp can automatically generate a Teams meeting link, include it in confirmation emails, display it on the event page, and track attendance for virtual sessions.
Setting up Teams integration
- Go to your event's Settings
- Under Virtual Event, select Microsoft Teams
- Sign in with your Microsoft account
- Authorize FairUp to create meetings on your behalf
- The Teams link is automatically added to your event
For attendees
When attendees register for a Teams-integrated event, they receive the Teams link in their confirmation email. The link appears on the event page. They can add the event to their Outlook calendar with one click and join directly from the FairUp event page.
For organizers
- No manual link creation
- Automatic calendar invites
- Attendance tracking
- Option to record sessions for later viewing
Teams vs. custom link
If you prefer not to use Teams, select Custom Link in virtual event settings and paste your Zoom, Webex, or other meeting link.
Troubleshooting
"Teams link not appearing" β Ensure you've authorized FairUp in Microsoft, check that the event is set to Virtual or Hybrid, re-connect Teams in Settings.
"Attendees can't join" β Verify the Teams meeting hasn't expired, check that attendees have the correct link.
